Update on us…

Since we got home I have been dealing with constipation from the anemia and iron supplements I was told to take after delivering. So last night I got a fever of 101.3 and had to go in for a dr appt this am bc he was very concerned about the fever. He said that we needed to take this seriously bc it is not normal to get a fever with constipation or after delivery. He ordered a whole bunch of blood and urine tests, put me on a antibiotic and had me schedule a sono on my stomach to see what is going on with my insides. He also mentioned that it could be my appendix or gallstones. If I get worse or another fever I am supposed to got to the ER . Please keep me in your prayers and hope that this is nothing serious I would hate to have to leave Ava and Kohen for hospital stay.

Kohen AKA Cheeks

We are home and doing well. I am still trying to recover from the c-section and can’t complain much except when it comes to the pain I feel when I cough. I left the hospital with anemia and a low blood count so that is why I am so pale. I have been told to eat steak, leafy greens and take iron supplements. Today was our first day home and boy is it harder than expected to care for 2 kids! Anyway on with the pics…

Kohen

So my huge boy made his entrance February 20 at 1:10 pm. He weighted 8 lbs 7 oz. He is a full pound bigger than his big sister. I have to say the c-section experience was much different this time. I was able to control my nerves and make it through the whole surgery. He had to be vacuumed out because was so stubborn about coming out. I was able to hear his first cries and see him as they brought him to the baby station. It seems like Kohen inhaled some fluids during delivery and they got into his lungs. They did hear a murmur yesterday but it seems like it is gone since the neonatologist did not mention it this morning. He is nursing very well we are just waiting for more poops and everything should be good. I will say that c-sections are not fun when you have a cough that makes your incision feel like it is tearing open. I will have pics once we get home tomorrow and I can get signal to my laptop. I can tell you that to me he looks just like Ava when she was born except he has fatter cheeks and has more hair. His big sister is so excited about having her “baby brudder”, though she doesn’t like to hear him crying and wants to look at his small feet all the time. Pics to come…

Twas the night before baby

and all through the house we are trying our best to keep busy. I am not sure what else we can do to make the time pass. Ava is finally asleep and Kevin is now watching dumb cartoons. Me? Well, I am sitting here wondering why I have to put up with these braxton hicks contractions when they won’t get me anywhere. I have packed my bag, Kohen’s and Ava’s as well. I straightened my hair so it is easy to care for at the hospital and gotten my clothes ready for tomorrow. I had my last meal until God knows when. I chose to snack on pineapple, blueberries, blackberries and green grapes. Today I went to the foot Dr. to get my toe checked out and got confirmation it is broken. Picked up my contacts and paycheck from the gym. Kevin picked up my new rx for inhalers and brought home cupcakes. Not much else I can think to do but going to bed seems like a waste if I am going to up all night worrying like I was the night before Ava came. Tomorrow she is going to my friends house who happens to be AJ’s bf’s mommy too. She can’t wait to go and play. So this is my sign off until I return with my newborn son and his super excited big sister. Keep us in your prayers please…

38 weeks and the homestretch…

I didn’t think I would ever see 38 a weeks when this pregnancy started. I can finally get use the idea that Kohen is really coming and in few dayz I will have a baby boy. Definitely bigger this time around 😦 but hopefully I can fix that sooner rather than later. I had a shower at work yesterday and all the teachers were so nice. Kohen has tons of clothes now that I can add those to my gifts from my students. They had a shower from me a few weeks ago and Kohen got some cute outfits and baby things then too. I also had my last day at work yesterday and feel that I left the classroom and my students as prepared as I could. It is going to be weird not going to work for 8 weeks. After my 2 drs appointments on Thursday the drs. confirmed me for a c-section on Wednesday 2/20. That is 4 days away and I can’t believe it! So unless I can get this going on my own we will have a Kohen in the family with in the week. I am kind of holding out home since I have been having some crapping and spotting in the last couple days but I know it is a long shot. We got some really cool 3d shots of him at the perinatoligist appt and he has got some really chubby cheeks! I can’t wait to meet him and compare the ultrasound pics with the real thing. My family is having a baby shower for me today at 4 and I am sure it will be lots of fun. After that I have some cleaning to do, baby laundry and to prepare a few frozen meals before I can just sit and wait for Wednesday with my Ava.

Ava is doing really well and soooo excited to meet her baby bro. She talks and hugs my belly constantly! It is so heartwarming how sweet she is. I can’t wait to see the two of them together. She had a pretty good Valentine’s Day getting some things that littles love. Kevin got me just what I wanted flowers and a card. This is the first year I haven’t been as into the whole Valentine’s Day thing. I think it has to do with the cold and sinus infection I got in the past week. Luckily my OB gave me a z-pack and I am feeling better. I still look pale as crap and my eyes have huge circles but now I can sleep. Kevin is also happy about that because I had him up with my sneezing and coughing for 2 nights. The poor guy is already stressed about Kohen’s arrival and I am keeping him from sleep… bad wife 😉

Super Tuesday

Can you see him???
